Today was a pretty low-key day. We had some friends over to play and have lunch this morning, which was fun for us all. For the rest of the afternoon, the kids played in the pool and generally chilled out while I did some packing. This is what "chilling out" looks like for Carter:
He LOVES maps. And spends lots of time looking at the globe and filling in blank copies of the continents.
I know, not the usual thing a 7 year old boy wants to do. But I love it.
I think it is starting to hit the kids that I am leaving soon. They each individually have expressed a little sadness or wishing that I didn't have to go. I just keep reassuring them that they will have so much fun with Daddy and friends and that I will be back soon!
